For years, kids just went out and played.
There were no camps or clinics, no traveling for tournaments, just
a pick up game in the neighborhood. Organized sports lasted one
season, and kids ate whatever they felt like eating. Times have
changed!
Optimal athletic performance requires not only
a conditioned and skilled athlete, but a well fueled and well hydrated
one at that.
Kinetic
Fuel LLC provides personalized nutritional education and counseling
to athletes enabling them to optimize performance, body composition,
overall health and well being. Our philosophy centers on using whole
foods, proper hydration and nutrient timing as the foundation of
an athlete’s plan. Kinetic Fuel’s unique advantage is
to provide an interactive multi-week nutritional plan that focuses
on each athlete individually.
By working with professional athletes, college
and elite high school athletes, all referred by coaches or trainers,
Kinetic Fuel has successfully developed plans for power and endurance
sports. The athlete’s goals, requirements, lifestyle, training
and competition schedule and food preferences are all integrated
into his/her plan.
 
As both a pharmacist and sports nutritionist, Julie combines her
knowledge base and experience in order to counsel athletes regarding
nutrition.
Most often she works with athletes and clients individually over
a period of weeks or months, but Julie also speaks to teams and
camps, as well as groups of coaches, parents and athletic directors.
Additionally, Julie is available to consult with food services in
schools and athletic facilities. Always active as a runner, marathoner,
fitness enthusiast, and mother of teenage athletes, Julie lives
what she teaches and loves what she does. She and her husband, Andy,
who actively competes in triathlons, founded Kinetic Fuel in May,
2008. |
